Letter sent by Pedro Henrique, from Rio de Janeiro, telling his experience, for Mural Section in Cover Baixo Magazine
"I have red the history about Joel Moncorvo’s work with deaf children (edition 36) and toke decision to tell about my experience. When I was seven years old I started to loose my hearing in both ears. Now, with 23, I hear reasonably with the left ear due to a prothesys and nothing with the right one. But never stopped studying music. I would lik to play guitar, but the acute notes are more difficult to hear, in contrast of slow ones. This made me get interested by contrabass. And I thanks God to find a perfect instrument”
When I play, even do not remember I have deficiency
I would like to send a hug to all bass players, specially Joel."

Reading the history about Joel Moncorvo and his work with deafness deficients, I decided my monography theme. “The contribution to a better motor coordination of deaf by musical perception through slow contrabass frequencies”.
